Stevens joins the Monroe College Express Cross Country program with over 20 years of experience coaching men's and women's cross country. She joins the program for its inaugural season in 2019. Coach Stevens will also usher in the inaugural season of Monroe Express indoor and outdoor track and field in 2020-21.

Stevens most recently coached at Bronx Community College, serving as the cross country and track & field coach for 20 seasons. There Stevens coached 25 NJCAA All-Americans, 10 CUNY Champions, five National Champions and helped numerous more secure scholarships to four-year institutions. Stevens was also named the NJCAA Coach of the Year in 2008.

Stevens also served as the cross country and track coach at Washington Irving High School in New York, N.Y. for 13 years, from 2001-2013. During her time at Washington Irving, Stevens coached five PSAL Champions and two New York State Champions.

A graduate of Bronx Community College and Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Ariz., Stevens was an accomplished runner in high school. Stevens was the 1984 PSAL City Champion, as well as the New York State Champion in the 400 meters. In 1984, Stevens also was a Games of XXIII Olympiad Olympian.

Stevens graduated from Northern Arizona with a bachelor's degree in general studies in 1990, and earned her master's degree in education from Touro College in 2006.
