Express Women's Basketball Stars Beverly Williams and Salimah Williams to Continue Academic and Basketball Careers at Lehman College

BRONX – After all their success at Monroe University – Bronx, the Express women's basketball star guards Beverly Williams and Salimah Williams will continue their athletic and academic journeys at Lehman College. They made the official announcement on Thursday morning.

Lehman is an NCAA Division III school just down the road and is a perennial CUNY Athletic Conference Championship contender.

"It's an unbelievable accomplishment," Express Head Coach Damel Ling said. "Getting their associate degree in two years and then moving on together and choosing to still play together for two more years, it just shows you the culture of our program and the bond they built. They mean everything to us. They came in and bought in to the system and the plan. They built a good comradery together and laid a foundation. They will carry those on into Lehman."

Beverly Williams and Salimah Williams will be key fits for the Lightning.

In two years, these two all-stars helped Monroe capture the 2025-26 Region 15 Division III Title, earn a berth in the NJCAA Championship Tournament, and made two appearances in the Region 15 Final.

Beverly Williams was selected as an NJCAA All-America first-team honoree, declared the Region 15 Player of the Year, named Most Outstanding Player of the Region 15 Tournament, and is a two-time All-Region first-team member. The Bronx resident set program all-time records with 1,108 career points and 283 career steals.
